Pike County Memorial Hospital Employee of the Quarter, Gary Moore
Gary Moore was selected as the PCMH Employee of the Quarter. He was nominated by Phyl Becker, Director of ED/EMS.
Moore has served as an EMT-B at PCMH for over 15 years. He is routinely known for going above and beyond his normal duties. A co-worker was heard to say, “He goes out of his way to make it the most caring place for the patients and the employees.”
Examples of Moore’s selflessness are too numerous to list. But, a few instances include pitching in without being asked- answering phones, answering the door buzzer, handling EMS dispatch and radio traffic. He also takes patients to rooms, helps with vital signs, ensures needs are met and patients are reassured, taking ambulances for maintenance and repair; and helping with training days –not just teaching skill stations but setting everything up and putting everything away.
Not just a motto, but an ongoing attitude for Gary Moore is, “We are all in this together and we will make it work to the best of our ability.”
Congratulations and thank you to Gary Moore, PCMH Employee of the Quarter, April, 2013.
